Many thanks for reading my blog.
I am a sufferer of chronic leg ulcers which have spread around the entire circumference of my lower leg. The leakage from the ulcer has now macerated what used to be healthy skin on the foot and the foot is red raw.
I do not smoke. I am teetotal and had an active life and have always followed a very healthy diet. I am now temporarily disabled until I find a cure & have been told that the ulcers are probably incurable after having endured many different treatments which have only exacerbated and inflamed them.
Various members of my family have endured these ulcers (father, grandfather, aunts) and I can only be guided by the treatments they carried out - such as -keeping the area scrupulously clean every day and changing the bandaging and padding daily, which is resulting in no further spread of the disease.
I have had nursing treatment withdrawn because the ulcers were reacting badly and the condition started to spread to my foot. I now have to pay for my own daily bandages and rolls of cotton wool, which become soaked through within two hours.
Please make a donation towards the cost of daily bandaging which I have to do myself.
